After our breakfast, we boarded the bus and headed to Oriental Green Boat. It is a very big place and showcases some military airplane and ships. It is also a great place to learn about the lives of famous people who lived in the past.

As we reach there, we first took a group photo before entering.

Our group photo!

Oriental Green Boat is a place that is beautiful place where you can learn some of China's history and more. The place was so big till our group decided to rent bicycle and ride around the place. It will save more travel time and we would not be so tired at the end of the touring.

Map:

Things that we learnt from the trip:

Shi Huang [秦始皇](259-210BC)
Ying Zheng(嬴政): creator of China's first centralized dynasty- Qin Dynasty He was the first to unify China politically, and the Chinese characters and measurements as well . He attempted to unify people's thought by "burning classical works and burying scholars alive". Qin Dynasty came to an end shortly after his death because of his cruel ruling.

Song Yingxing[宋应星] (1587 - unknown)
Chinese scientist in Ming Dynasty Works. The Exploration of the works of nature, great works of ancient Chinese techniques, recorded in detail the agricultural techniques all over the country.

Huang Zongxi[黄宗羲] (1610-1695)
Chinese thinker and historian in late Ming Dynasty and early
Qing Dynasty.
He once led an army to fight against Qing Regime but failed.
After that he took to writing.
Works: Ming Yi Dai Fang Lu, which was the reflection of his
progressive thoughts; Case Studies of Ming Confucians, which
was the first authoritative works on the academic thoughts in
the history of Chinese historiography.

Sima Qian[司马迁] (145 BC or 135 BC - unknown)
Chinese historian and thinker in western Han Dynasty.
His famous The Records of the Grand Historian of China creating
the biographical style of historiography, was the first general
history with complete structure in Chinese history. It had most
profound influence on the development of Chinese
historiography and literature.

Li Bing[李冰] (Late Warring States Period)
Chinese expert in water conservancy in Warring States Period.
Du Jiang Yan, the water conservancy project constructed by
him, is still functioning today, which mkes a glorious page in
both the China's and the world"s history of water conservancy.

The DNA of genes is the most basic compound which forms the key genetic material of all lives. In structure DNA is like a spring in form of a double helix with complementary strands. Two outstanding molecular biologists-James Dewey Watson(1928-American biologist) and Francis Harry Compton Crick (1916-Brittish biologist and geneticist) shared the Nobel Prize for their study on the structure of protein-DNA. Maurice Hugh Frederick Wilkins 1916-British biologist physicist) was the first to take pictures of DNA by means of X-ray crystal diffraction methods to prove that DNA was strictly regular in structure with the forms of double helix.

Leonardo Da Vinci

We managed to see what China used during military training. Also, we got to see war planes used during World War Two.

There was a submarine for us to explore but we didn't go because the bikes were with us so there are pros and cons of us renting bicycle to tour around the place.

But something which did not let us feel so disappointed was that we get to see a vehicle that could go on water as well as on land! It was remarkably similar to Singapore's Ducktours or Hippotours.

It was very cool! We also get to see planes of different models.

These were planes that was used in a long time

We managed to get someone who is also a tourist to help us take a group photo with the airplane.

JIAJIA and ELINE on bikes(:

After we returned the bikes, we went to gather at the place we are supposed to meet, then we headed to the place to have lunch by bus.

After lunch, we got ready to go Wuxi which is a place between Nanjing and Shanghai. During the ride, Liu Da Ge also told us about the 3水5山 in China.

It is a very wide lake, as wide as a sea. However it is only 2 metres deep.In this lake, there are 118 different types of fish species.

There's also this water which can not only fill a cup to the brim, it also can fill it out of the cup without spilling it!It can fill it slightly above the brim without spilling it by 2 to 3mm.It is very amazing.

Random photos.

Pointing right pointing left

It is actually a candy(:

The whole packet of candy was finished in lass than 10mins

Then, we went to visit the Zisha teapot museum. The material to make this teapot is actually a type of stone and it can only be found in a mountain in China. As mentioned above, if you pour water in this kind of cup, the water can go above 2 to 3mm without spilling. We went there , and ther person told us about many different types of zisha teapots. Many of us bought the tea pot after that. The most expensive is about 1000RMB, which is about $200 in SGD. We headed to dinner afterwards which is just right next to the shop.

After eating, we went to our hotel. It is 2 person per room.

When we reached there, and got to see the room, we were all frightened. The room was very dark and the toilet was very creepy. Hence ALL of us slept 4 in a room. I mean it is really scary! we didn't dare to take photos about the room because it is really scary.

In the end we still slept well.
